Illinois Time for another Chicago area meet?

How does the second to last weekend in October sound? the 24th?

If we go downtown - Daley Plaza will be set up for Halloween, with a market, the midnight-circus (which performs during the day) and a kids halloween costume contest. A photograph rich environment. :)

There is a Borders a block away on State street and Randolf where we can meet.
 
Did you have a specific time in mind?

I could make it Saturday 10/24 earlier in the day, but unfortunately I'd have to split by 2PM or so to make it to an afternoon commitment.

Would definitely enjoy connecting with some Chicago RFFers.
 
I'd like to meet with you guys. The problem is that we have a baby now, and traveling solo isn't as easy as in the past. I'll try convince my wife to take a day off her exercise class! :)

Hmmm... can you still hang your camera around your neck with a Baby Bjorn on??? ;-)

This summer I actually did some shooting at the Ethnic Arts Festival in Evanston with my 1 1/2 year old daughter in my left arm and my Olympus XA in my right hand. Great for the biceps. :)

Ty - we have typically met in the mid to late morning.

Format is usually meet, have coffee, chat, for a bit - and then if people want to go shooting, they can, or they can go their separate ways.

I'm probably going to be down there by 10am regardless - if people want to meet at the Borders Cafe around 11am? I'd be down with that.

hmmm.... there's a possibility; the wife is leaving that day for an academic conference, maybe I'll drag along my daughter and her Canonette. If I can talk her into it, she's at 'that' junior high age.

I assume you guys will be family freindly :D
