Illinois Time for another Chicago area meet?

Darn, my wife just reminded me that I'm working that Saturday. And it sounds like whoever makes it will have some great shooting opportunities with the Halloween activities going on. :(
 
Well, my wife said that if we met at a good time, she'd come down with Edmund, take him for a stroll while I meet with you and then meet somewhere for a late lunch.

I would have liked to have my M4-2 ready by then, but it seems all I'll have is my M3 system (a collapsible 'cron and collapsible Elmar 90).

Will post later! Gotta go to a reception (job related). I'm wearing a suit and a tie as I type this! :eek:
 
Well, I really hope I can make it next time. It sound like a lot of fun.

Are there any good Chicago community darkrooms?
 
Sounds good! I'll plan on being at the Borders cafe at 11:00 am. Looking forward to meeting all of you Chi-town folks.

Very true.

Worst case scenario we all have hot coffee and huddle indoors for a bit. Always good to chat.

I'll run around and take pics in bad weather, but I know not everyone likes to.
 
Social engagement came up... and I won't be able to make it. Darn! It was nice, because my wife wanted to take Edmund for a stroll downtown...

OTOH... at least some good news: my M4-2 has been repaired, and Don will take it out for a test sometime this week. :) I may have it home next week... That's some exciting news! :)

Sorry we won't see you this time Francisco. May be for the better (on Edmund anyway), since the weather is unlikely to be pleasant. We'll have to see you next time, and you can bring the M4-2. :)

marcr1230 - bring it all. :D Whatever you feel like carrying. I'll probably have just two RFs given the chance of rain. The P and an M4-2 (and a few lenses, naturally).

It was a nice get together, good shop talk, got to know some of the faces behind the names. I can see doing this again in a few months.
 
I, too had a good time hanging out and talking shop ( and shooting a roll of Tri-X ) with some interesting fellows. I enjoyed meeting you guys.

I would definitely be into doing this again sometime. It would be nice to get a meet in before the year's end ( and before my two least favorite Chicago months, January and February ).
 
Agreed. It was great to meet you guys!

We could shoot for December, perhaps at the same location. State Street will be colorfull, not to mention busy for the holiday shopping rush.

Don't ask me WHAT the hell I was doing! I'm not sure what shot I was trying to get there... in fact it looks more like I'm squatting over a Japanese toilet. :)

[edit] BTW, the contrast and tones look real nice here. Did you go back to Rodinal? Or have another whack at HC-110?
