I'm sitting down right now next to Small Business Management: An Entrepreneruial Empahsis and my Leica M3 mounted with a version four Summicron 35/2. I got the lens for a steal, the camera shop was going out of business, didn't know what they had, and was a stronger advocate of the newer digital equipment. Off my camera I have my trusty dual range Summicron 50/2 and my version four Elmarit 90/2.8 (which I scored even cheaper at my local flea market).
I just love my kit, It was always a dream to have the 35/50/90 kit, let alone have it an all Leitz kit nonetheless.
I just can't seem to figure out wheter I want this kit or not. I use my 50/2 almost exclusively, whereas my 35/2 and 90/2.8 usually play second banana to the 50/2. I can attribute this to my favoring the 50 lines on my M2 viewfinder. It seems the most logical to work with and works the best for my style of composistional shooting. What to do, what to do?

I've been considering dropping the newer lenses I own in consideration of some older 50's to go along with the Summicron I already own. Am I mad?! Am I a loon?! I have a dream kit, but I just don't put it to use like it should be.

So my question is, would it be wise to drop the kit I have now, pick up a nice M2 or M4 and grab some vinatge 50's (Summitar, Summarit, Nikkor 50/1.4, Summilux...)?

If you sell the 35 you will probably wish you hadn't at some point, no matter if you make money on the sale or not. I have personally bought and sold too much equipment when I wish I had stuck with what I had several times for no other reason than to save money. I have reverted back to a simple kit and have only one more thing to buy to complete it, a 35, but the 35 Cron is too much so I am going with a 35/2.8 Summaron with goggles for my M3. Unless you need the money I would keep the kit you have, just an opinion.
