Peeping in ebay I came across with those M7: 170298967833 and 330303559242 both with a 90mm and motor... different sellers, different auction format, same S/N... is this normal...?
Once I sold a mint Hexar AF Silver on eBay just to notice approx. week after that someone else was using my pictures in his own ad. Upon contacting him about that the pics immediately disappeared, but afterwards I wish I reported him directly to ebay.
I wonder how many cases like this go unnoticed. Oh well.....
I buy/sell cameras myself on eBay and sadly this is happening more and more. As said, always report it when spotted.
It's a very simple thing to stop really by genuine sellers if they only took the time. Before they upload their photos all they have to do is emboss them with their eBay username through the photo and job done. Yes I know it's still possible to sell fraudulently by other means but this simple measure knocks most of it on the head easily.
