Hi All,
I just traded my M7 with 35 Cron ASPH. It comes with B+W Digital-Pro UV Filter and I believe it is not MRC.
My question is, should I buy another one which is MRC or just keep this one and use it?
The reason of using a filter is for a bit of protection only..

keep using it.
unless you buy cheap, cheap filters most any brand name will do the job.

Use it. When you are worried about flare (at night, etc), take it off.

when the filter gets scratched up, then replace it with the MRC.
I use filters because I DON'T use a lens cap much if I'm out and about... with the rangefinders I end up with a few blank shots where I forget the cap if I do use one, so I usually just put the lens on the camera with a hood and filter, only cap it when I'm not using it.
The MRC's take a LOT longer to scratch up then the regular ones in my experience.
and yes, if you're going to use a UV, use a nice one.

(ps- I'm much less likely to use them for my SLR gear, simply because I always know when my cap is on!)

i keep the caps in an old pencil case, never on the lens so i too like a uv filter.
with my dslr kit, the theme is keep it cheap and so i am using somewhat cheaper filters on my nikkor lenses and so far so good.
