Wonderful images all...
Wonderful images all...
I have been an avid air buff since age 10... 1953. Love all the Warbird stuff here.
Two air museums I encourage travel too... not necessarily warbirs...
EAA air museum in OshKosh Wi... fantastic. ... All about Experimental (homebuilt and other) ...Been there four times... took that many trips to take it all inl. Would love to go surning the EAA Flyin.... landing 4 abreast at a time via ground flags... last I heard. Too many flyins to land with radio...???? Still that way.????
Evergreen Air Museum in Monmouth Oregon.... Home of the Spruce Goose ala Howard Hughes. Met the man who coordinated the move from LA to the new location. They actually hired some of the original engineers of the original build to tear the "goose" down and reconstruct it in Oregon at the museum....
The Museum is front lit at night, full glass windows with the "Goose" in the lighting.

Sooner or later, there's always a gratuitous DeHavilland Canada Beaver shot!

Where is this Doro 13 located? I love the looks (and performance) of this bird. Another variation of this,

is the Ta 152, the high altitude intercept/recon that came very late on the scene.

It is part of the Flying Heritage Collection located in Everett, Washington. Although the D 13 is flyable, it is doubtful that it will ever take wing because of its rarity.

Love the PBY. This is this lighter -5 (no 'Grumman' landing gear).
Two from my gallery:
Catalina A24-30 served with the RAAF in WW2, and is now housed in the museum at Lake Boga, inland Victoria (SE Australia) which was a base for repairs and servicing for these aircraft.

Can you name this one? Quite rare. (taken 1935)

I'm guessing it's a Towle TA-3, but the tail section is different.
