B26 before being taxi'd to take off at Edward's Airforce base c1992(ish).
I believe this is an old Confederate Airforce plane to boot.

*LOVE* this thread, and thanks biomed for keeping it on a roll. and . . . . your pictures are super !! always love your dramatic B&W metal surfaces, but your colors are also wonderful.
 
Yes, this is one of my favourite threads. I've been trying to emulate biomed's approach to b/w, but without success. Despite the preponderance of US aircraft, it's still a delight every time I click on here.

Great thread! I am surprised that no one identified this machine. It is a Franch SNCASE SE.161 'Languedoc', a four-engine airliner produced in the immediate post-war era (though the prototype flew in 1939).

This one should be challenging; same era (1953). Dhahran Airfield (IIIf/elmar/K25).
