Nice shot, jiroshashin, it brings back the times when I was fighting the nazis around Stalingrad.

Erik - any reason why the chrome one isn't? A black and chrome one was listed here recently, I debated on which one to get, ended up with the chrome one to give my just bought Leitz-Minolta CL a blck/chrome vintage lookGreat shots, Roland. Beautiful.
Did you know the black Color Skopar 28mm f/3.5 is now a collectors item? No wonder if you ask me.
Erik.
I bought and rcvd a chrome one from fellow RFF member here via classifieds. Soon as daylight breaks, I'll load up my just arrived Leitz-Minolta CL with either XP2 or Tri-X and take some shots.
It's my first LTM/M mount lens! I kinda wanted to get the 40mm Summi but couldn't wait for one to become available (or be affordable)

All the wide angle shots I posted in this thread were taken with the S-mount Skopar 28/3.5 (same optical formula as the LTM version).
I like this lens so much that I have one in S-mount and LTM!
I know what you mean, I have 2 LTM (1 black/1 chrome) and the S-mount one!!!!
If someone is selling one of these lenses, I'd love to buy it.

I've posted these before, but they show different aspects of this lens:

Is this the same formula as the vintage S-mount Nikon 2.8cm f3.5?

After watching this thread for too long... and adding a silver Bessa R to my collection... I just bought a silver version from another RFF member... should be in my hands in the morning.
Update - I received the 28/3.5 thin morning... what a jewel of a lens... build quality is outstanding... while being so compact and unobtrusive... already on the camera and a roll of film waiting to be developed... will post some scans of prints soon.

Hi Tom, do you think / know if Voigtlander will replace it with M mount ( like the 21/4 )?
Thanks,

I´m very confused about this lens.. Is very sharp , no flare, no distortion , but Its so plane
not 3d.. (i want this lens for my M8)

I feel the same way... but I always seem to regret selling it due to its size.

It takes a 39mm filter, which is more or less a Leica standard size. It tucks right into the mini lens hood, too:

BTW, it works aces on the M9, too! Some pix from that combo:

For a "contrasty" lens, this little gem is capable of rendering a nice long tonal range. These photos were taken with TMax 100:

The little Skopar on the M9. Enjoying using a focal length I've hardly used before.
