Just got my first test roll's scans from the lab, I must say I'm impressed by the results, I wasn't expecting anything special as I shot all frames at 1.2 using low shutter speed because of low light conditions, but the shots look crispy and sharp enough, and those light balls... aww, I love them! It's him! the Beast, ahah.

damn I love this lens! here's a couple I took last night, on leica M7 0.58x and provia 400X +2 stops. I don't like using flash, but I keep a little cheap torch on me instead, for when iso 1600/f1.2 isn't enough - I just hold the torch with my teeth and shoot

michael, in skimming the comments I noticed you mentioned you were going to try IQ labs for processing in BKK. When in thailand, I drop off my film for processing at Photo Gallery (formerly called Photo Hobby) in Silom Centre (level 3 from memory), next to the Sala Daeng BTS station. They in turn send it off to Pro Color Lab, and everything they've done for me has been consistently excellent - I've put 50+ rolls of E6 (always +2 stops) through with them and they've never missed a beat. So I'd definately give Pro Color Lab a shot - in my case I went with photo hobby/photo gallery as my go-between as it was more convenient for me than trekking out to Pro Color Lab.

Thanks - it is a great lens! That shot was quite a recent decision to scan, my favourite which is included in my portfolio was this one:

Hey papasnap....thanks for the message, I found out about Pro Color Lab from the guys at Photo Hobby about 2-3 months ago....I am a regular customer at Photo Hobby and I was looking for 40 rolls of tri-x, he sent me to Pro Color Lab because he called them up and they had some....I now go to Pro Color Lab for darkroom equipment and film sometimes, but I haven't used their lab yet, but I will the next time I need some C41/E6 processing done..
I just realized that I have been so busy in the darkroom that I haven't posted any photos up in a while....
Bangkok....
