Woohoo!! You'll love it Helen! :) Can't wait to see your shots with it! Tip: get yourself a cheap Tiffen ND-9 filter (3 stops) and you'll be all set shooting wide open with iso 400 if that's your thing.

Glad I'm not the only one to succumb - mine arrived last week. Stephen's doing good business out of this thread!

So far, I love it - still in the honeymoon period. I'm off on a short break from tomorrow and will only take my M8 and the new lens. Should be fun.

YES SEBBEN, but this Nokton is Too Delicious to pass UP .... even for its size...

I'm Looking Forward to a Totally Different Signature than the pre asph

RENZSU: Thanx for the ND9 tip ...I usually shoot TriX at normal speed or Puuuuush to 1600 as well as TMax 100

AUSTERBY: WE Shall now suffer the Trials & Glories of the 1.2 Glass

Helen, this is indeed a great lens and a nice fit for M bodies. I was wary of the size and weight, but it actually feels pretty comfortable on the M3.

Helen, have you shot it yet and done the darkroom thing, too?

I don't mind the weight, particularly if I am carrying only two cameras, NO BAG, and a couple of rolls of film in my pocket.

Congrats!

Oh hey Steve...HELLO
will probably post some pixs in the next Day or Two
just finished my First roll Tonight
we will see if there are Any Keepers worthy of this Grand Thread

I am amazed at How Easy it Focuses for a FAST Lens (wide open@night)

hats off to CV !!!
Best to YOU -

Renzsu, great street photos of NYC. I like them too. I hope I will have a chance to visit the city too. It seems that the people of NYC are not camera shy at all. This thread is filled with awesome photos! Those on self-imposed quarantine due to GAS should stay away from this thread!

A couple of snaps off Charles Bridge, Prague. Ektar, wide open, ND8 filter.
