Thanks for the kind words, but it is all Sasha the cat. Quite a beast!

A beast, you say?? Huh. Compared to our Oskar, nine kilograms and then some of half Maine Coon half Persian, yours is a kitten.
Oskar is now on a diet and making the days and nights a misery with his loud demands for food, food, food.
I will try to find a suitable image of said feline and post. Taken with a Nikon 20/2.8, of course...

Sasha is a Siberian, which is a big breed, but she's a small 8 lbs. She get a diet of mice, and no-grain food which I think have just the right nutritional balance.

Cat and friend.
That's cute. The cat reminds me of Molly, the little gray cat my grandpa had. Same stripes and color, same mousy little face. Definitely NOT the same attitude, though. Molly HATED dogs, and terrorized them without mercy. Grandpa had a large dog, and I caught Molly standing on the dog's cage one night, reaching down through the bars to claw the dog's face up!

Thanks, Chris. This was GreyBaby and Lucy. Both belonged to a neighbor--both were cute and sweet and the best of friends. The picture is from 2008. GreyBaby, Lucy and the neighbor have all since passed away. Per Vonnegut: "So it goes." I still smile every time I see this picture.

From 1973, my father and our cat, Skinky, who is playing a questionable response to the Smith-Morra variation in the Sicilian Defense. I believe Skinky resigned mid-game in order to go outside. Such antics kept Skinky’s Elo rating in the 1300’s.
Sounds like Skinky suffered from ADD, as do most cats. Who can focus on chess when there are mice to catch?
