Yesterday I went to the "Hiram M. Chittenden Locks" (aka The Ballard Locks) and got as far as this locked gate. At least the locks are functioning but the facility is closed to visitors.
Questions like that are likely to get the thread shut down. I'll post a link from the BBCs kids section as it is probably the simplest, most concise, least bias explanation around. 😉
Beyond that, its probably best for this thread to focus on imagery about the impact, etc as this is obviously a polarizing political topic for those in the US.

I walked from the San Francisco Ferry Building to Fort Point.
Do I get the prize for the most closed parks in one day ?
Those Fort Point photos are poignant for me; I grew up in the Bay Area and went there many times. I haven't been in 15 years but that road leading there is still so familiar.
