I have an iPhone 5S. I use it as a camera often. Sometimes, it's all I have. I rarely get creative with it and use it more for snapshots but as long as you avoid the zoom (I learned this the hard way), it has plenty of resolution to take a decent photo.

This one proves the point about resolution although the picture is an ordinary vacation photo.

interesting how far the phone cameras have developed even within the lifetime of this thread. when it started 2009, latest iPhone was probably 2megapixel 3G.
