Hi Peter, On the rooftop of a house in downtown Saigon. Saigon's architecture is distinctive: to do with high land prices, which lead to narrow 4 to 5 meter wide shop houses which go up to four or five floors. This process was amplified by the explosive growth of the city. In 1945 Metropolitan Saigon had perhaps just over 600.000 inhabitants...today it is guestimated it has 10 million inhabitants.
