W/NW: Trains and Train Stations

Trust me, there is a train in this photo. That is its headlight.

I obviously haven't mastered posting remote pictures. My apologies.

Steve, for Flickr, it's easy. Click the share arrow icon at bottom right of your image, then select the BBCode of your choosing by image size, then paste that whole string in your message. That's all you need to do. Do a Preview Post to make sure it takes.

Beautiful image by the way. I will remove it here if you like. Just posting to help out.

Riding with the crew of a freight train from Cueto to Alto Cedro, both in the Cuban province of Holguin. The total distance is about 12 miles but takes several hours because of the poor condition of the track. Here we stopped to pick up a few train car loads of scrap metal.

Canon 7, Canon 50/1.4, Kodak Tri-X 400TX at 1/60 sec and f/8. Developed with Fomadon R09 1+50 for 14 minutes, agitation first 60 sec and then 10 sec/2 ag. every 2nd minute.
The negative was photographed with my Canon EOS 30D.

These four images were taken at the local train yards from very close to standing in place and looking high, low, up and down. It's a fun little creative excercise I readily enjoy and recommend trying.
