This is so damn good! Ever since John posted it I've been trying my best to recreate it. I visit a lot of train stations and I've tried and failed every time to get something even close to being as good.

Thank you, Mike. Boarding trains at Chicago's Union Station normally isn't like this. Commuter trains typically arrive about 20 minutes early, and folks board as they get to the station from work. When a train is late, everyone stacks up on the platform and inside the station and it's like this when the train finally arrives. I just stuck my GR up at arm's length and snapped a few.

I did contract work forever from home, but my last five years I took a gig that required commuting, just for something different. I loved it and photographed all the time in and around the trains and station. Commuting life is a culture all its own and I miss it.
