OK, I was going to post my serial # for the serial # thread for my M4P, but got an idea.

I just got my Leica back from Gerry Smith at Kindermann in Ontario and I'm thrilled with his work! A repair on a neckstrap eyelette that came out and a CLA and rangefinder adjustment. Even repaired the vulcanite on the pressure plate that I wasn't expecting.

The camera that I thought was the smoothest camera I ever used, came back to me even smoother!!!

I noticed the wax seal at the 12 o'clock position on the lens mount and it had a nice little imprint. I'm not sure if it's a T or a J, but it has me thinking, instead of serial #'s, I want to see the wax seal imprints on users that have had their Leicas repaired. I'm curious what kind of collection this could be

Hmmm, no wax seal on mine

Hmmm, no wax seal on mine

Not sure if Don at DAG forgot, or if the # 92 was used by his father. Any ideas?

Not that it makes a big difference to me, I know where the CLA was done.

My 1955 M3 looks like that little thing is marred up. From the looks of the camera itself I'd say it's never been used much and never had a CLA, but that's just a guess.

My 1968 M4 is plain, no marking at all and the wax looks new.
