We got back from Italy!

The colors got me here. They reminded me of Strawberry Gelato!

Here, it was the yellow.

Hi Robert,
Thanks. You are being kind.

You caught some great moments! I want them here.
Please feel free to post your pics here. It will complete the thread.
Your insight knowledge of the places shown will be very useful.

I love the photos Raid. Isn't the light in Italy wonderful? I've seen the same thing in the south of France and Spain. I wonder if the light reflected off the buildings might be responsible.

Looks like an amazing trip. My wife lived in Tuscany for 2 years before we met. We always talk about taking a trip there but it hasnt happened yet. This thread definitely motivates me to make it happen.

BTW, I also have a daughter named Lina. A beautiful name IMO though Im sure you agree :)

Hi Tom,
It must be the geographical location, in my opinion.

Thanks.

Hi,

Tuscany is a beautiful part of Italy. Go for it when you can.
I love the name Lina. She was thrilled to find it being used in Italy too.

Nice shots - and looks like you all had a great time.

Seeing these brings back some happy memories for me of holidays (and falling in love) in Cattolica way back in the 1980s.

Keep posting them.

John

Thank you, John. I have more photos that I want to post on Pisa and Lucca and some villages, with some explanations.

I'm going to Lucca in early August to meet up with my daughter. We'll be staying at a friend's holiday home. Really looking forward to it.

Lucca is a nice place to visit. When my wife and I visited it 12 years ago, there was not a single other tourist in the old town other than us. This time, we saw many tourists all over the place. My photos from 12 years ago showed no people; just buildings. It is the only city in Italy that has the old walls around the old town still 100% intact.

I may have three rolls taken with the SWC. I will mail them out very soon to get scans.

We ate out each day at restaurants. It was a challenge to find suitable dishes for the girls.

Mother and daughter closeness ....

Still in Rimini downtown

Lina being playful. They played each day at some arcades, and she won this "thing".

I will next return to photos from Siena and surrounding towns and villages, after we met up with Robert and his wife.
By the way, I carried the M9 in a blue small cooler bag, while the SWC was in a small backpack. It was a really practical set-up for me to minimize the feeling of heavy weight.
The weather was rainy almost every day. It was OK with me since we have enough sunny days here in Florida, and the rain adds to the images, plus the cooler temperatures are good for me.
