Weekend Photography Plans: What are you up to?

Just got back from my Photowalk here. Just in time before it hits 104F out there.

Tell us about your photowalk. I have never participated in an official photo walk, but I once had several photo walks with RFF members in Lisbon, Portugal. They were fun.

Taking photos at a company soccer tournament Saturday and Sunday. One of the increasingly rare times I'm going to a digital SLR; I need all the zoom and range I can get - and I want to be able to shoot off 200 or so shots without worrying about cost.

I'll probably take either a rangefinder or TLR for non-field shots during the day.

I felt this way during a trip recently. The digital camera had a 433mm zoom, which was great.

I shot two rolls of colour film and developed them in Tetenal C-41 chemicals. First C-41 development for me. Rolls came out really fine. I'm happy as a clam.

Beatiful day here, not so hot as a few days ago, windy with very clean and clear air. I went to Lugano Lake (CH) and shot one roll of Sensia to test the Bessa. Incredible colours, Velvia had been ideal but not being sure how the camera work I prefer a cheaper film.

PS As stated a few post above, tomorrow ...editing day!

Lugano brings back memories, Robert.
My parents took us there many years ago.
My mother and I used a paddle boat on the lake.
There is a train that can go up a steep mountain there.

Went out on my bicycle, took some shots in a small village of rusting farm gear and flowers. And later took some snaps of my sister's boyfriend playing with her dog.

Hunting cameras tomorrow at a couple of flea markets nearby.

I'm running my first roll of film through my new Kodak Retina IIa. The shutter appears to be solid. The lens is not as pristine as my Retina IIIc (but the IIIc has a flaky shutter).

Life is good.

I've been shooting Plus-X and TMax 100 in the Sierras today, w/ my IIIc and Elmar 50/3.5 and CV 28/3.5. My wife and I hiked up to a gorgeous lake just below the Sierra crest at a little over 10,000 ft elevation. May post some results if they're any good.

Hi Steve,
Your hike sounds great. I used to hike in California and in Utah and other great places for doing such activities. I recall hiking one time and not having with me drinking water. My tongue turned white and I got dizzy.

Adequate hydration is critical, especially at altitude. We had a great hike, and it was a nice way to spend our anniversary! :)

Spent all day yesterday at a workshop on Ink Transfer printing on Water color paper.
There were about a dozen people taking the workshop during which we each got to do three prints, had few issues with my first two tries but the third one came out beautifully. Saw a number of other very beautiful prints from the other people there including a number of landscapes and still lives, both color and B&W.

I'll be give it a try on my own just a soon as the supplies I order arrive, hopefully by this coming weekend

I shot an entire roll of one of my daughters in the open shade with the 75mm Lux at 2.0 and 1.4.

It is Sunday, and the weekend is still here.
I shot one roll of Kodachrome yesterday with the Contax G1.
I will continue today to take photos.

What have you been up to?

Yesterday morning Put two rolls of HP5 through my M4-2 + 35mm 2.5 VC lens shooting street between the King St Metro Station and Alexandria Visitor's center.
Last night developed above film

Today: Put five rolls of Edu-400 and 2 rolls of Edu-100 through my Bronica SQ shooting some fashion, casual and head shots with a friend of mine and two models.

No photos this weekend, we're moving house so all I did was pack. I have the next two weeks off though, and will be in London to visit and then Cumbria for a wedding next weekend. I have a few rolls set for that trip and hope to find the time for some wide angle shots of the new house. If I'm lucky I'll get out on the bike here and there too. It should be a fun vacation despite the time spent packing and unpacking boxes.

Cheers,
Rob

I shot a roll of my favourite film, Rollei Retro 100 with M4-P and CV 35mm/2.5. Every time I use that little lens it amazes me with smooth, sharp photos. A few can be seen on my Flickr site.

I shot a roll with Zorki 1d and a -56 model Jupiter-8 too. It was great fun - but I slightly wrecked the lens accidentally. I can fix it so no problem really.

This afternoon and evening I was out with F100 and a flash. I'd like to do more flash photographing with film. I did quite a lot of it when I used a DSRL but it's totally different with film.
