Hall and Oates, "Abandoned Luncheonette" album. Classic. I sometimes forget how good those guys were.
That’s funny, my wife and I were talking about them yesterday when a song of theirs came on. They were a notable part of the aural landscape for a while, consistent hits taken for granted, and then just seemed to disappear.

I am a big Cannonball Adderly fan: one of his signature numbers as a band leader: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4rXEKtC8iY

Cannonball, Monk, Bill Evans, Clapton and Hall & Oates....We got a wavelength thing going here. Love 'em all.
Daryl Hall had a TV program for a while that I kept running into when flipping channels. He and his band played with a number of newer acts. What struck me was how much he was respected by the young musicians and how good of a musician he is.
OMG...I just Googled him and he has a free monthly online program that's the same as the TV show I saw. Gotta check that out.

Latest 2021 album. It's a return to their turn of the century vibe, I just wish it were two tracks longer. It's more of an EP with four tracks... But it's awesome.

Yeah ... I did my Undergraduate (and Graduate) degrees there (BC undergrad, BU grad) too many years ago. Strange thing, over these many (thirty?) years I have made it a point to keep listening to ZBC ... mostly on Sunday, Monday and Friday evenings (the Industrial Factory, High-Voltage Circumcision show, and Off the Cuff).
When I lived in Boston (1980s, 1990s) I went to many shows at the Paradise, the Channel, the Middle East, and others ... I'm sure these places no longer exist, which is why I still listen and learn something about what the next generation thinks. (It's easier than teaching!)
