'Lowlife' MV version; 20 secs shorter than the live one above, well, most of the time Live one is 'faster' than studio one...

the song 'New Boy' was written by Pu Shu in 1998 for 'Window 98' computer commercial, it didn't go too far until 2019, the song was picked up by
Duo 'Landlord's Cats', it is a big Hit since then...

Pu Shu said in an interview, that he did not like the lyrics, it was hastily done for a deadline, So he Rewrite the lyrics and renamed the song title from 'New Boy' to 'New World' in 2018; 20 years after the original...

2021 'People's Daily News Media Group' bought the song ( or Pu Shu gave them the right ), Re-wrote the lyrics, made a big MV...for 'further Government use'...

Many artists covered 'New Boy', many covered 'New World'...i love 'Landlord's Cats' version of New Boy, big fan here, ( if you notice, one of the Cats, 'Youngster Pei', the guitarist, there is a 'Prince' logo sticker on her guitar...)

New Boy, Landlord's Cats

i'll find the 2021 'Government version' later...lots of fun

Since spending some time in Indonesia and Bali I have developed a taste (in moderation :) ) for some gamelan music - the traditional music of Java and Bali. Some of it is a bit too frantic but this one from Java is pretty chill. Subilulungan - the traditional music of West Java. (Not everyone's "cup of tea" I admit but for me it represents pleasant memories of times spent in wonderful places. They don't call Bali the "Islands of the Gods" for nothing.)

I often listen to the 1960's A&M records band the "Baja Marimba Band". I have all their vinyl LP albums. Their music makes me happy.

Lately I've been listening to a number of Malcolm Gladwell's 'Revisionist History' podcasts. I found this one to be particularly entertaining and informative:
