I just finished listening to Booker T. & The M.G.'S "McLemore Avenue"

Originally released in 1970 I have it on a Japanese reissue CD. It's one of the CDs that I didn't sell this year.

Anyway "McLemore Avenue" is an instrumental cover of the Beatles Abby Road LP. If you like instrumentals and especially if you like the organ this is a good album for you.

Here's a sample of the album.

All the best,
Mike

I've been a fan of Johnny and Edgar Winter since I was in high school (I graduated in 1973, how I graduated is still a mystery to my family and friends). Anyway, this video is not the greatest quality but it always brings joy to me at Christmas time.

All the best,
Mike

Yesterday I listened to the Beatles "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" on CD from start to finish.

I have not listened to this album in many years; so many years I forgot the last time I listened to it.

I started the CD and laid on my bed and closed my eyes, keeping them closed until the end. Not only was the listening experience amazing, it brought back so many memories; mostly memories from my teenage years.

When I was young we used to listen to LPs from start to finish like it was an event. Later in life I listened to music more as the background to whatever else I was doing or while driving the car to help the miles go by; never really giving the music my full attention. This year I plan to go back to my youthful ways and make listening to complete albums an event that gets my full attention.

BTW, "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" is a masterpiece!

All the best and Happy New Year,
Mike

Looking at my Spotify wrapped it’s all EDM & Indie Pop

That means one track might be Tiesto and the other could be the verve 🤣

Pianos. Pianos everywhere recently. Currently not classical but jazz. Jazz albums by a couple of greats, Bill Evans and McCoy Tyner. I have several albums by each downloaded and I've been enjoying them recently. Joy.
