Left LTM as soon as I was able to afford M. The reason - no frame lines and two windows to juggle to frame and focus 35 mm lens.
But still enjoying few times per year my LTM FED-2 and wouldn't mind Contax with 50 1.5, after I burned hole in the FED-2 curtain with 50 1.5.

I frequently use the Bessa R...so is it an LTM with the handling of an M? Am I a closted M user?
I also have an M 6 but the last few times I traveled I took the R

Mainly an M user (M4BP, M4-P, M5) but I still have my If, which is glued to a wide angle (21/4 SA nowadays) and great for motorcycle/bicycle ride as I don't have to deal with vibrations and bumps much.

@ jusxusfanatic:

I suppose you have annoyed a couple of people when you deleted your very recent thread.
You got there decent serious answers and very useful tips, by at least three* persons.
The fact that you deleted the thread in question is actually offending, and at least I consider your manners inacceptable.

Alexander, don't judge the guy too hard for his lack of forum etiquette. He's 15 years old. Let's be happy that he wants to be a member of this group!

I was on the verge of buying LTM Leica's for multiple years until I finally said "screw it" and sprung for a M3. After using multiple lesser rangefinders (partially joking), I couldn't be happier with my decision. I've had my M3 for close to 6 months now and I shoot it daily.

I use LTM because:
- I could afford it, and it lets me use great LTM lenses, which can also be adapted to an M body in the future
- I like small cameras (I have small hands)
- I like the look and feel of Barnack cameras - old tech, and classy

another both here!

I like Ms a lot and shoot an M3 and an M6, but I also shoot a 1f, which I like very much, and find it matches the ltm 21mm Color Skopar perfectly!

Michael, it's definitely something you get better at with time.

Especially if you have a few extra take up spools to prime a few rolls for loading.

Both. In LTM I mostly use a Nicca III-S, and a Nicca 5L lever wind. Sometimes a black Leica II. I like these bodies because they are small and fit in a pocket.

M3 for the other times. I like this body for the big, easy viewfinder.
