Sony A900 with Zeiss lenses. Thinking about selling to upgrade to H3DII but I think we will miss the Sony. It's a far better DSLR for the money than either the Canon or Nikon alternatives becuase of the fatter pixels, Zeiss glass and amazingly bright viewfinder.

My most used DSLR is a D300, awesome workhorse. Tough with predictably good results, nice ergo's. A bit of a beast with battery pack attached .

I chose neither, for two reasons -- I'm on Sony Alpha now, and it's an SLT, not an SLR (A55).

I used to have a Canon 30D, though.

Nikon. I got into the Nikon system almost 40 years ago with a used Nikomat FTn. So I'm used to handling Nikon bodies and lenses. My current dslr is an eight year old D100 that is still going strong.

I have used Nikon cameras since the 80's and graduated to the D70s then to the D300s. I love the D300s as it allows me to use my Nikon AIs lens in "A" or "M" modes.

I just loaded these up last night into my D700. Looking forward to seeing the results - at least for the small amount of color images I produce.

I think you might like them. I don't have them loaded in the camera but I can change them in NX2 Capture so I did not bother.

I used Nikons for 30+ years. Trying out a 5D2 now. I'm very happy with the camera and lenses so far, but after all these years the change makes me nervous.

Shot slides with a couple EOS bodies in the early 00s but they had too many niggling problems (plus they felt like plastic toys) so I dumped them and went back to Nikon. Haven't looked back! In the digital age, everything has been Nikon.

I have Canon 5D that sometimes I use it with my Leica R lenses. Simple conversion with adapter for some studio shots from tripod, my set up is Canon and Capture One, that thru DxO FimPack 2

I've used many cameras made by both. Lots of Rebels (owned by cheap newspapers) and I owned a 10D for several years. I've used plenty of Nikons, as well, owning a D70, D1H and D90, plus I used D100s, 200s and 300s for work at various times. There's a D3000, D80 and D90 on my desk at work right now.

The only DSLR I own anymore is the D90. Why do I need more than 12 mp? Why do I need a faster motor drive? I'm not shooting sports anymore, so it's just about perfect. The video can even be a little fun, too.

I shot Nikon and had a D2Xs and a few lenses but when I went to upgrade they didn't have a full frame offering to compete with the 5D or lenses to compete with Canon's tilt-shift lineup. Since then Nikon released the D700 and their PC-E lenses but I've grown comfortable with the Canon equipment. Now that the 5D is going on 6 years old I'm waiting for the 5Diii to upgrade.

I don't believe any is truly better than the other. They're both tools and do the same job so it all comes down to whatever the photographer is comfortable with.

I've used an Olympus E500 for years because of the kodak sensor and I liked how 43rd fits 8x10 without a lot of cropping. But when I started taking more low light photos at dance recitals I was disappointed with its performance. So I broke down and bought a Pentax K_r and I love it so far. Outstanding IQ all the way up to 6400 (it goes from 100 to 25600) Fast AF and 6fps. The only down side I can see is no battery grip or weather sealing, but if it had those I guess it would be a K-5.

I voted Nikon but I sold my D700 a year ago and still have a D300 which I haven't used for over a year. Only use my Leicas and Nikon S3. Jim

EDIT: The D300 is gone now. I still have a Nikon D60.
