Today I was at a car show in Carmel and brought along the Nikon D300 with the Nikkor 85/1.4. Great lens.

My essential kit has been proven now for a while sticking to it already:
M8.2
M9
35 Lux ASPH
Canon 85/1.8 LTM
I left the Noctilux f1 at home Today (can't believe, what I just wrote) - only reason being, that I had to carry a lot of external drives, as after a major hard drive surgery, I am moving data.

Just acquired two copies of the Retina IIIc, one with a bad shutter and the other with a bad light meter. I put the good light meter in the camera with the good shutter and have been shooting with it the past few days. I need to get it tested out soon, because I have an Electro 35 GT coming in next week.

Today I'm hauling out a bottom loader, a Canon III w/a Jupiter 12. I like the feel of these older cameras a lot and the soviet glass performs well also.

The best camera is one that still works!
Still the X100 ... can't seem to stop using it. I can't remember the last time I had a camera that I wanted to take with me everywhere, all the time!

I have a new daily driver! After a year of not putting my Pen F down, I now have my new-to-me black Hexar AF (named Claire!
) wrapped to my right hand at all times. I wanted something that was less SLR and more resolution, and I think I made the right choice. This'll be permanently affixed to my hand and eye until my M6/35 happens someday.
Roll #1 was Ektar. I'm halfway through roll #2, which is Tri-X. It's a very different beast with slow and fast film, but in a delightful way.
