I think Reala is a different film too. I remember reading discussions on photo.net when I was researching the film for a long trip last year and initially I was put off by some of the descriptions, which turned out to be about Superia. After more reading it turned out that the film was replaced by Reala which had the charactaristics I was looking for, so I ended up buying a stack at B&H. Also if you look at the PDFs kindly posted above by ampguy a couple of the curves are different and Fuji are now also advising that Reala does not do well with exposures of > 64 seconds.

I don't think that people are viewing Fuji Superior and Fuji Reala as the same film. The vagueness is for Reala and Reala Superior.

The consumer films are all 'Superia'.
The rather better film was originally 'Reala', later 'Reala Superia'. Different from the above.
Raid seems to think there's something different again: 'Superior'; but that's either just in his imagination or else he's got hold of some counterfeit stuff with incorrect packaging.

The dollar has weakened since; about 1.35/euro. Sorry, don't know about the zloty (can't put a line through the l). But remember that EU prices are normally posted at what you actually pay -- price + VAT/TVA/MWST usw -- while US prices are normally quoted (fairly dishonestly, in my view) net of admittedly much lower sales taxes.
Thus $4.50 less 20% VAT/TVA/MWST is about $3.55 net of tax, and $3.55 including LA sales tax is around $3.90. Internal sales tax in the USA for mail order is something the Treasury will have to address sooner or later.
Cheers,
R.
You're right, VAT is terrible thing (22% here). Some years ago 1$ was 4 Polish zloty. Now it's something around 2.50. You still got almost the best prices around the world.
