A Canon 7 for my lovely Jupiter 8 and CV 75MM F2.5. I suppose my compatriots guised as Customs officials will be playing with it for the next few days, hope the bill will not burn another hole in my pocket
Traded a Nikkor 85mm f1.8 AF for a Nikkor Ai-S 85mm f2.
It's smaller, lighter, just as sharp and I prefer manual focus, particularly as I'll be using in on my Nikon F, F2 and F3 as well as my F5, F6 and D800.
Lumix G 14-42mm lens on eBay.
Seller sounded as if he knew what he was doing and had already installed latest firmware! Was selling to get funds for a more expensive Lumix lens.
Haven't tried the lens yet but am amazed at its lack of weight!
Looks good!
Sold a Nikon F2, bought a Nikon F2. So, that's a trade? And with the remaining money, bought a lens hood. Okay, two, by accident. Financially, I fell behind.
I guess I'm boring...all I've bought lately is 4 of those little bubble level gadgets for the hotshoe of the camera. Comes in handy when you're shooting without using the viewfinder.
I picked up another at the local SA. A Minolta Maxxum 7000 with 50mm f/1.7 for $15. I bought it for the lens but the body is in great shape and tested fine. Never actually considered one in the past but have found it to be a nice camera. I should have gotten one years ago.
This came the other day via eBay from Camerawest.com. Canon 135mm f3.5 LTM with a hood and viewfinder. I read all about it but thought, 'it's a small camera, how big could the lens really be'? Yeah....it's a monster. Beautiful piece of engineering.
Unfortunately the 'lens free from marks, scratches or haze' has a whacking great, highly reflective, chip in the back of the front element that you can see even in my rubbish pics. Pretty annoyed about that. Today I finally get to take it out on the camera and see how bad the chip is. I really don't want to have to send this thing back!
