What have you just BOUGHT?

A Metz CL-4 flash with a couple of NiCad battery packs + charger, a 6xAA-battery adapter, and two P.C. cables, all for the princely sum of £28.

Makes me feel slightly less sad about ending up with most of my Olympus T-32 in my hand.

one of these

1942 Summitar in BGN shape from KEH. 585xxx serial number range from the pictures.

Edit - It turned out I misread the serial number in the photo, or they showed the wrong photo. It is actually a 1939 Summitar 530xxx serial number.

A box of assorted filters off ebay. I needed a 58mm UV, and I noticed there was a Bell & Howell one in this selection. I got it for the starting price, and also found two good quality 49mm filters (always useful in this house) and some very old and curious items which I reckon I can sell on for more than I paid for the lot. Bargain!

Just bought a Nikon Coolscan 8000ed and VueScan Pro. My Epson is an OK scanner for medium and large formats, but I've always wanted a Nikon. Found one in local classifieds that was advertised for 900€ with stock holders, pulled the trigger and it came with a sought after FH-869G and has been used very sparingly it seems. Made just a few scans but already loving it.

Got a Nikkor 20mm/f4 on a trade, some Tri-X and an ONDU pinhole camera.

Waiting for temperatures to get above 20F so I can go out and play.

Seems like I spoke to soon, as the AUS postal service does not like carrying anything with batteries...:bang:

The US postal service requires batteries to be installed in the device they are intended for.
(I could argue that the box I am shipping them in is the device they are intended for. :p)

I have one Aussie postmaster say it is OK if they are installed in something. Others say absolutely no batteries. So i figure, if they can't make up their minds, I just stop asking the question and send the batteries anyway.

I have also bought batteries from overseas and had no problem getting them here via the postal system.

All cancelled and refunded now: the guy was really good about it. Shame because the camera was in good condition at a nice price.
