What have you just BOUGHT?

I just got a Rollei A110 for really cheap because the camera shop didn't have a correct battery and couldn't verify correct functionality. One of my tasks today will be to find four 357/SR44 batteries. Even if it doesn't work it was so cheap that it will be a neat shelf curiosity.

Leotax TV2 with beautiful leather case. Sold needing some repair to self timer. I checked other photographs of this model and suspect that the self timer is intentionally moved toward the slow speed setting to move it out of the way because gripping would have fingers directly on it every time....so, happy me! It turns out that the self timer is not present in another, I think later model. Think... Additionally, at the Post Office giving the camera a quick once over discovered a piece of film showing sandwiched in the shutter..removed that right away.🙂

Congrats! It is a very good lens. Mine lives on IIIg, and I like this combo very much.

Thanks,

This is my second shot at the Super Rokkor 45mm. I bought one in 2014 but sold it off as it really wasn't much of a performer. Must have been mistreated though you couldn't tell by looking at it. This one though is a keeper.

Just picked up a Konica C35 Automatic. Full kit with original box, soft and hard cases, manual, flash cube attachment and inspection card. Price tag on the box was $99.95. Very clean.

It has already been sent off to Weber Camera to be modified to take current hearing aid batteries.

My Leica M type 262 arrived on Friday! I traded in my bought-used M-E in the process, and this is my first new Leica purchase. It is an amazing camera. First results on the PC are excellent, I can't wait to print something. And the actual ability to use the LCD to see if photos are in focus and without camera shake or motion blur is what the M-E was desperately missing.

Cheers,
Rob

A very low mileage Canon F-1N with a like new FD 55 1.2 SSC Aspherical. Man that is a substantial hunk of glass. One B/W roll through it and nothing to compalin about.

In a stroke of luck, the previous M2 was an utter dud, but soon after it arrived another one popped up on eBay and it was significantly less and from a reputable dealer and I now have it in hand (hurray for free 1 day shipping!) I ran it through all of its tests mechanically and physically and it is wonderful. Works great as-is. I fly home for a wedding in October and luck has it that Youxin Ye is located a stone's throw from my hometown so I'll bring it in to him and have it CLA'd as well. Man, having a Leica M in hand is sublime. Never had a strong appreciation for Leica until getting my first Summilux and M and now I'm smitten.
