What have you just BOUGHT?

I blame you guys for this latest GAS. I've been hanging around here off/on for a couple of years now. Learning a lot, getting educated about a lot of things photographic, nurturing my gearheadedness with all the cool pictures of your beautiful cameras.
Saturday I found myself with some money burning a hole in my pocket. I look at Craig's List and what do I find....a Nikon FM2 with a 50mm f1.2 attached to it. I figure it's gone since the ad is 15 hours old already. I take a chance and send a message. A few hours later, I get an answer. I can pick it up today if I'd like! WOW!
By lunch it was in my possession. Today I ran a roll of b/w thru it.

I just can't believe it. Two 'want list' items gone with one bill.
Oh, and with batteries added, the meter works too!

A good buy with the Nikon also.

I am awaiting delivery of a Zeiss Ikon Contessa 35 (533/24). After a while of buying to many things too quickly I instead figured out what I wanted and waited for it to come along. Hopefully it's okay, I've done what homework I can. There was a great one in Brooklyn camera store but the shipping to the UK doubled the price!

Nice retina

Thanks! I adore it already.

I too bought a nice Retina IIa recently.
It's a remarkable little camera.

Chris

They really are a masterpiece. Enjoy it!

We too often buy on impulse and without due consideration. But sometimes, things just come our way.

This morning a fellow at work showed me the camera he bought for a photography class for $40 from a camera store. The unremarkable AF film body was mounted to a 17-28 fisheye zoom. I bought it for him for a c-note on the spot.

Since I promised myself not to buy anything (expensive) for quite a while, the last things I bought were cams I or a price of one (AGFA Isoly) or two (Lomo Fisheye) glasses of wine. 😉

Fuji-X to Leica M adapter made by Fuji. Now on the XA1 I can mount the CV Ultra Wide Heliar 12mm as a more useful 18mm lens while the CV Color Heliar 75mm f/2.5 becomes perfect for tightly framed head shots.
