Good to know. So a presoak is required? I don't generally pre-soak so I'm curious if I need to perform the step. I've started loading my own film so this one intrigues me.

It's not required but I like to do it with all films to remove anti-halation and swell the emulsion to more quickly uptake devloper. The data sheet for DXN5222 states there is a lubricant added to the film to allow it to pass through motion picture gates at high speed while keeping static down and encouraging smooth transport. That is enough for me to want to remove it before adding developer. At least that's the theory. Whatever your method, pick one that works, with one developer, and stick with it.

A Tamron 24mm 01BB, for my Nikon F301. It's all good bar a very thin, faint, shallow line that is quite long on the front of the lens. I think it may be a 'scratch' in the lens coating. It's barely noticeable in the right light with my reading glasses on and it isn't much easier to see when looked at through an Industar 61LD lens, so I'm hoping it won't have an effect on the photos.
