Plaubel Peco Profia Eye Candy by Nokton48, on Flickr

I just picked up another Peco Profia Front Standard for $29 on Ebay. The Peco Profia Sliding 4x5/9x12 back I bought recently for $50. There are many many versions of the Peco Profias, depending on vintage, so do your due diligence with these. The Peco Profia Pan/Tilt Head is a good idea, really I consider it to be part of the camera design. Worth getting for a good price.

That's a 300mm Sinar Norma auto aperture Symmar on the left, and a 120mm Schneider Angulon Compur on the right. I'm also interested in the Komura LF shuttered lenses as they were marketed for the Peco Profia in the 70s. Highly regarded lenses different from anything I have ever owned.

I just bought a new Thambar (new release not the old 1930s ones) and a 210mm APO El Nikkor enlarging lens. Big bucks going out the door this Christmas...

Kanto remanufactured black paint 35mm Summicron-M v1 8 element M3

I know people will say I should have waited for the Chinese knockoff, as it would yield the same results for a fraction of the cost, and I won’t argue that, but......this just too hard to resist. Glass is literally perfect. I have owned a lot of lenses in my time, new ones, old ones, expensive ones, cheap ones, and had “refurbs” and “CLA’s” done by a lot of people, but the focusing and aperture ring action on this thing is smoother than anything I have ever encountered in my life. No significant degradation of the vf/rf image either.
It won’t “make me a better photographer”. Maybe someday that fact will matter to me, but I doubt it.

I just bought a Laowa 15mm f/4 1:1 macro lens with a plain Nikon F mount. It doesn't do any kind of electronic or mechanical communication with the camera, it just focuses light. One thing that has always bothered me about wide angle lenses is that they don't focus close enough - I have screw in close up lenses and extension tubes, but they never seem to be in my pocket when I'm shooting. With this lens I can focus as close as I want, all the way down to 1:1. That's about half an inch from the front element though, so you need to be VERY creative to get light to your subject. Half life size (1:2) though is about 5 inches away, so you can get real close without any specialized lighting equipment.

Here's a toy admiring the Christmas tree it's under, shot with this lens a couple inches from Thomas's face:

Voigtländer VM 5,6/12.
Head Bartender, aka Stave Gandy @ CameraQuest is having a closeout on the recently-discontinued CV 12 v. III for $449, half of its original list price.
Just picked up one. I am not aware of a wider RF-coupled lens in existence.

From 1928, a QRS Kamra. This early catalin (brown swirled Bakelite) Camera taker 35mm film, advancing it from one special cassette to another. 40 exposures, in a 24x32 format. The lens is a fixed aperature and focus Graf f 7.7 Anastigmatic. Probably made by Wollensak it appears to be a triplet. The camera itself is Huge, roughly the size of a brick! Still tinkering with it to work out a bug in the shutter but overall looks like I can get it operational.

Fujifilm X-T100 on close out

Fujifilm X-T100 on close out

Just because i liked brand new toy camera in Champagne @£ 350 .
My Fuji are all Generation 1, and ex-dem etc.

No excuses - it's a compact styled camera with standard sensor and added EVF , SLR style .
I did not expect to afford ANY new Fuji !

I bought a Fujifilm XF10 camera yesterday.

I got the black one, the champagne gold with brown skin was a bit much for me to handle.

The way I justified this unnecessary purchase was:
a) It was on sale!
b) I bought it for my wife to use.
c) It fits in my pocket!
d) It’ll be a good back-up camera in case my other 8 digital cameras and 4 film cameras all break.

A-D are total lies! I bought it because I wanted it! And, it is true that it fits in my pocket.

All the best,
Mike
