What have you just BOUGHT?

20 rolls of Fomapan 100 in 120 and Print File storage sheets that will fit 6x24 negatives.

OK, Shawn. All very useful and practical, but boring! We want to see big shiny hunks of black-painted brass, gleaming chrome, and luscious expanses of purple-tinted glass. That honkin' big Super-W-Komura was a nice start, but that was three days ago. Stop slacking!

Slacking????

Been busy.... (and a few more to go)

Three 1/4"-20 Female to 3/8"-16 Male tripod screw adaptors. I keep losing the darn things. The immediate use is attaching a Leitz CTOOM flash bracket with a 1/4" thread to a Leica IIIc with a 3/8" tripod thread. The CTOOM makes it a lot easier for me to hold the camera steady and it gets the little Voigtländer VC light meter out of the way.

Bad day at the camera fair….

I was hoping that the OZXVO would have sated my GAS for at least a few months, and at relatively modest cost. Them I came across this 35mm f2.8 LTM Canon, and had to have it. And who of those amongst us would not have succumbed?

How is this lens ? Thinking of getting it for my m246 monochrom.. seen one on local classifieds haven't pulled ther trigger yet.

Ahhhh….! What sorcery is this? What are those? Medium format, I presume.

Kraken cameras. A 612 with a 65mm Super Angulon, several 617s with Rodenstock 65mm and 90mm and a couple of Super Angulon 90mms and Kraken 624s with a Fuji 105mm, Rodenstock 115mm and a Schneider 180mm. The 612 is Graham’s original design and then I took that and moved that to the 617 and 624 versions with a many tweaks to the design. The 624s are kind of blurring the line of between medium and large format. Kind of like a Pen F of large format.

Sorry, Manekshaw, but I haven't actually used it yet, and it might be some months until I do some proper printing (the acid test- my darkroom is really winter months only). I have a lens hood and LTM to M adapter on the way from Jack the Hat, despite previous C minus experiences with a 9cm adapter from the same source.

Let's have another photo, on the IIIg...

I just took the plunge and ordered the Nikon Z50 with the 2 lens kit. Was going to go refurb but Nikon is running a sale and offered the kit (new) for the same price as the refurb! I received the tracking notice that it's on the way!

Picked up this outfit today. The seller bought it new in Stockholm 1959 but was more of a gadget enthusiast than a photographer so it never saw much use. He said that it never got through more than a dozen rolls or so.

Just pulled the trigger on a TTArtisans 35/1.4, new, that should arrive from B&H on Tuesday. I've some misgivings, but reviews have been consistently good. I sold my Voigtlandeer 35/1.4 (horrible rendering, mediocre sharpness), but wanted a fast 35. My experience with the TTArtisans 50/1.1 was mixed; it was sharp enough, but wouldn't work on my M5, and vignetted with even the slimmest filters. I'm hoping the engineering on the 35 reflects a few years' worth of refinement. Anybody else have input on this lens for film use? Fingers crossed!

Well, it arrived... Very impressive fit and finish. Very pleased until I put it on a camera; the lens brings up the 50/75 framelines on both my Leicas. Not even an "in between" situation. I'm guessing it was built using a flange from a 50mm, if that's possible. B&H is taking it back (always great service!) and will replace the lens with another. In reality, I should just get my money back and walk away from the whole business, I suppose, but I'm being stubborn. Caveat emptor.

Why have only one Ermanox when you could have two!

Just got it back from its overhaul by the Ermanox Whisperer, and it's super-duper.

I managed to snag more plate holders for the Ermanox -- five of the Goerz double-sided holders, and three ICA holders. A nice addition to the arsenal of plate holders.

If they have a litter, can I have one of the pups?

A pair of 1956 KMZ Jupiter 3 lenses, both have really nice glass. One appears to be new old stock, it came wrapped in crinkly yellow paper inside a KMZ bakelite box. Both lenses are nice and sharp and distance scale is dead-on at 5 meters used with my Sony a7III.

a pair of entry level German engineering Elac speakers for my PC,
the cost to performance ratio is a 10 (1-10 scale)...

i have a pair of PSBs (Canadian), M-Audio (US), NHTs (US) and a pair of Magneplaner Mini Maggie already, the Elac is just for fun...
