Thats some set up, well doneSeveral years ago I made 200 mile round trip to pick up a Beseler 45MCRX enlarger, I don't remember if it was from Ebay or Craigslist but for $100 USD it was worth the drive.
Now, I already had a Vivitar VI and Beseler 23C both with Color heads...so I understand the need for just one more.
The Vivitar VI I bought brand new a few years after high school, the 23C I found at a garage sale and it came with 3 boxes of darkroom equipment all for $50 USD.

I don't think is the plain om-1. Looks like an MD or even better Om-1n. Remove the top and clear the prism foam if you can. Enjoy 👍

Alas the deal is off just got this message from the seller:
'Sorry to say we will have to cancel meeting on Thursday. Let me explain. Checked over camera and found couldn't see anything through view finder. So took it down to my photographer friend. On examining it when he took the lens off he found that the mirror is stuck on up position. He turned the mirror lock up switch on the side but no joy. He thinks the mirror has jammed in the up position and spring mechanism has seized. So I can't sell the camera like this. If you think this can be fixed I'm willing to accept an offer as it is if you think you can fix this. Disappointed as I never thought to check this. Sorry about all this'.

The camera is "over-wound". Part of the advance mechanism is either dirty or has dry lubes. Having the camera serviced will solve it but won't be a bargain any more.
There is some advice online regarding how to complete the circle and bring the mirror down but the camera will seize again in the future. It is a sign that needs cleaning. Luton Cameras charged me £100+vat for the Om2 - I would imagine they charge similar for the om1.

Thanks for the wise advice, sadly if I bought this camera after taking into account a CLA it would no longer be a bargain

Don't have it yet so fingers crossed everything checks out. I think I'm going to love it for all the reasons some hate it. Plus the shutter layout matches my R8/SL/SL2, I might have a thing for the unloved Leicas.

Not that it's all that important, but you think you might be able to track down a white insert for the self timer lever? Or conversely, think you could 3D print one?

Apparently Leica still has that part available, I am waiting to hear back from them.
Otherwise I will 3d print an insert for it. Was originally thinking about swapping for black M3 style parts but I think the squared off look fits the camera better.

A nikon series E 75-150 (super cheap but works oK) hood too and little zoom creep.
Leica R-E as a back up for my R8. R8 is a fabulous camera. The R-E is not. It was also cheap. My two R lenses mount on it.

The mirror staying up could be due to sticky foam. This is a relatively easy repair you can do yourself if that’s the case.

I sent instructions to the seller regarding the mirror up function dial/knob, once she had reset it the camera functioned correctly, fingers crossed, I will give it a good check over when I go to view it on Thursday.

Keep an eye open for a R4. I think a slightly smaller body (less height I believe) compared to the RE (and slower max shutter) but it has a bigger viewfinder (.9x) which is nice. I prefer the R8 but the R4 is a nice compliment, esp. when I want a smaller body. Of course the Leicaflex SL/SL2 make a good backup for the R8 as well.
