What have you just BOUGHT?

Damn Billingham sale got me again. A 445 in sage (green) FibreNyte is now on its way to the southern hemisphere …

Why do I have no self control?!

This very clean Canon F-1 with FD 50mm 1.4 S.S.C. lens. Needed some work as the aperture was stuck (oil) and the 1s exposure setting wasn't working (except when the camera was upside down..).

This is my first ever Canon SLR and I'm impressed by its build quality.

Shot on the recently acquired M Monochrom (Typ 246).

Just bought a 5l pack of ID-11, came in a bag and not a box. Surprised to find it made in the US. Nothing against that, just surprised.image.jpgimage.jpg

Thought I’d been doing well with restocking some Rollei RPX while I saw it on the cheap but today I’ve ended up with a SF20 flash even though I have a SF40 and several sunpaks plus a lovely little godox junior…the red dot got me again like a moth to a flame…

DJI Neo. I'm interested in high attitude stills :)
It is a fun little drone. For better image quality override its auto ISO and try and keep it as low as possible (ideally 100) where you get decent shots without camera motion blur. Because it is so light and can get blown around easily with a single axis gimbal it tends to default to setting ISO high for faster shutter speeds. The NR really takes a toll on image quality once ISO starts going up. At ISO 100 low wind days and shooting while hovering are best.

A Yashica bayonet 1/B30 lens hood which I bought last week has come back from the seller, (after I sent it back because I had somehow got a Hoya sky 1a filter stuck in it after I tried to take the hood off my 635 because I was trying to find a way of fitting and removing it as easily as I could the hoods I'd used with a 124G several decades ago), but for some reason, the the inner edge of the hood isn't wide enough to let the filter through but it can fit onto the camera. This is the exact opposite of the Rollei hood I have which allows all my bay 1/B30 filters through but is too tight to fit onto the camera!

I recently ordered an Airesflex hood with a view to using it on a Yashica D with Yashinon that I plan to buy soon, but if it fits the 635 I'll use it on that and buy another airesflex or Hoya hood for the Yash D.

You may buy a more upscale lens than the Soligor, but if you do tests at, say f/8 or f/11, you will see little of no difference.

Always nice to get more advice and from collecting Macro gear, I already own a Nikkor 50mm EL and 3 Minolta E Rokkors plus a Wray 4 1/4" somewhere to mess with and just had these delivered earlier in the week. ;)
