Wandered into my favorite 'toy' store yesterday and one of the owners mentioned a Canon 7D coming back from Canon service. The original owner had dropped the body into water, long enough for it to submerge completely, and be pulled out. It was sent to Canon for repair and I ended up buying it for $800. 6 mo. warranty. I figure if it does fail, should happen within that time. Looks brand new, behaves new, no idea how many shutter releases it has experienced prior to the rebuild. For all I know, Canon may have replaced the shutter assembly and who knows what else within. It is a gamble, but my 6th sense tells me it is a good deal none the less.
Now I'll have to pull out the large Billingham again. Sigh!

No, UK based, so it came from Ffordes. silver, barely used and seem very nice. I wandered around ripon cathedral yesterday and made a few exposures, just getting used to it. Nice unobtrusive shutter.

Nice! I find them in silver chrome simply most beautiful, but prefer BP for getting more "yourselves" over time.

Bought a secondhand Epson V500 scanner and purchased Vuescan so that I can get a web gallery sorted .
Also ten rolls of Tri-X arrived with a pack of Xtol to keep me going for while .

Bought a Nikon F100. My commitment to film is still at 100%.

An affordable, full frame ('cus I'm cheap and like wide angle) interchangeable M mount camera like the Fuji X100 would modify this stance, but only somewhat.

A 1951 J-9, with CZJ serial number of (2)851104 on the inside in two places. Focuses accurately with a Canon P. Got it on eBay for $150, from a seller in Estonia. Lens is in beautiful shape, and looks like it was used very little.

Just snagged a Fuji GW690 off fleabay, I used to have the GSW but sold it awhile back. Been shooting 8x10 predominantly for the past year and getting back into rangefinders. Been missing them definitely!

A Pentax 105mm f/2.4 Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 6x7, mainly for use on my 645N (although the 6x7 will get a look-in too); and a Ricoh GR Digital III to take over digital duty from my less-than-lovable K20D.

Olympus E-P3 with kit lens, Panasonic 40/1.7 pancake, Olympus 4/3 to Micro 4/3 converter and a Lens Baby Composer Pro with Sweet 35 Optic. I wanted another digital camera after shooting nothing but my OM1 for the last three years.

I still love the OM1 and Zuiko lenses, but hadn't been shooting as much lately. Developing the film, waiting for it to dry, cutting it into strips, putting them into sleeves and waiting a day to let them flatten out before scanning, the scanning itself, then spotting - the charm was beginning to wear off and sometimes I missed the immediacy of digital. Oh, I'll still shoot several rolls of film now and then - I love it (film) and the OM1 too much to give them up completely- but it's nice to take snapshots and see what I've got immediately.

I'm really enjoying the E-P3. The image quality is very nice, the autofocus is very quick, and it's highly customizable. It will probably take me another week or so using it, and consulting the manual quite a bit just to set it up the way I want, but after two days with it, I'm pretty satisfied. I didn't think I'd be using the touchscreen features at all, but I've got to say that having the camera autofocus where you want it to and shoot very quickly just by tapping the screen is pretty awesome. I hope you purists will forgive my blasphemy!
