Thinking about a Mamiya 7ii w 80/4 lens.
Anyone here convince me to get it? I am umming and ahhing.
It's a good price, but I have already bought an xpan, leica m8, 35 summicron this year. Do I really need another camera?

Just won a Fleabay auction for an MD4 drive for my Nikon F3HP - the one that came with the camera was destroyed by someone not removing the batteries and allowing it to corrode beyond recognition. So I'm happy to pick up one that is in good operable condition - I hope.

Went over to Victoria BC this weekend to see some friends. Of course, I mad the obligatory trip to Camera traders, a small shop at the Market Square. Noyhing wildly interesting, but they always have good stuff. It is also like a used camera store of the past. Shelves of Pentax M42 lenses, some Leica stuff and some Nikon stuff - and a couple of enlargers on the floor.
I behaved myself though and only picked up 4 Nikon re-loadable cassettes, complete with bakelite containers. Always need more of those.

Recently a Pentax K5 body to replace my ailing K20D - so nice to have an accurate and dependable AF system again; and the stock focussing screen is surprisingly usable with fast manual-focus lenses, at least in the 50mm-and-up range.
Also a 120mm f/4 SMC-A macro lens for my 645N. It's been a Pentax sort of a week.

After reading all these reviews of Ricoh's and Sony's with M-adapters, I pulled the trigger on what I really wanted in the first place. So yay... my first digital M! Leica M8 will be welcomed this week in my silly household.

An E39 orange-filter, 5 rolls of the new PORTRA400 (... :bang:...) and two of the Fujifilm 135 boxes (the ones that hold ten rolls of film).

After missing out on a Nikon SP and 50mm 1.4 I consoled myself by getting an M6 and brand new 35mm Biogon f2. I also got a Canon 135mm f/2L, a new tripod, and a bunch of film.

Canon 50mm f/1.2 hood from David Murphy. Been searching for several years for a user one at a good price. It arrived last night and I couldn't be happier.
Now I can use my Canon lens to take photos AND cut out big holiday cookies!

I just bought another 10 rolls TX400 and a few rolls each of different color films for try outs in 120.
I also bought a Hasselblad Rapid Winding Crank E #44086 for [don't hit me] 100,- EUR.
I think, Hasselblad's plan was, to go out of the camera business and map in selling Winding Crank E instead.
They figured at that margin, they might be taking over the other medium format players quickly and have the market for themselves - the "Rapid Winding Crank" market, that is.
Well, it didn't work out I guess …
