What have you just BOUGHT?

Kind of two ends of the spectrum.

Yet another box from KEH showed up today. I can quit any time, honest!

I picked up a 200/4 Telyt for Visoflex, in "UG" condition for $59! Honestly, for a lens made in 1966, it looks to be in pretty good shape. The glass is clear, the aperture is free of oil or dirt and opens and closes smoothly, and the focus is smooth except at the closest distance, where it is just a wee less than perfect. I popped it on my XE-1 with my XF/Visoflex adaptor and focused on the lamp across the room (just within the 3m minimum distance) and it seems sharp enough, especially for 60 bucks! I also picked up an "EX+" OUBIO to get the lens to work on my Visoflex III and the adaptor, and it really does look to be in great shape. The lens isn't really all that bad cosmetically, I would have rated it at worst a "BGN," but I'm not complaining! No caps, but it takes 58mm filters, so I can get a dirt cheap front cap, and I'll probably just keep the lens in a Domke wrap most of the time anyway. I was looking for some kind of 200mm f/3.5 or f/4 setup for my XE-1, but didn't expect to get a Leica 200/4 for under $100! Plus, if I ever get any of the other long visoflex lenses designed for the visoflex I, with the OUBIO I can use them, but I don't think I'll find such a good deal. The 500/5 looks intriguing. Really, I can stop any time...

Two Nikon EM bodies for £6 each. One with the blue buttons and one with the silver ones. Both seem to have the 'meter will only work when the shutter is uncocked" problem so will have some fun taking thm apart and putting them together again. 🙂
