Bought a 1980 black Leica MD-2 to build an ultra-wide rig. Bought back a black TA Rapidwinder that I sold to a friend at the NYC Meet-Up, and secured a black TA Rapidgrip. Already have a Zeiss 21mm VF'er and eventually will buy a 21/3.4 Super Elmar.

The local flea market yielded these two this morning (the same flea market where I got a nice Rolleiflex a few months ago). A black Minolta Hi-Matic E (needs batteries) with owner's manual, and a whopper of a Kodak beast, a Medalist II w/ case and lens cap. The medalist seems to work although I am still reading the manuals online to see what all the levers and settings do. Price was, well, I had $20 in my pocket and after buying them both I had enough left over for a burrito and a drink.
Not major high end stuff, but fun things nonetheless.

I bought my first Nikon! I own 30+ cameras these days and have owned new Canon camera's since the second Digital Ixus. But, I've never owned a Nikon - until now.
I really wanted to get a good feel for Nikon. So what better place to start then, according to some, the best 35mm SLR ever made? Yep, I bought a Nikon F5! The eight-battery monster shooter should be here in a week or so.
So, now I'm researching some lenses. I'll probably end up buying the AF-D 50mm f1.8. It's cheap, well reviewed, works on the full frame F5 and it's a good prime to start with. After that, maybe a nice wide angle 28mm or so...

Thanks. I am finding that out through searching the site and google.
Not sure which way I want to go with it. Can't see spending hundreds on a CLA for something I might use a couple times a year. Maybe I'll just shoot with it and see how it goes.
