What have you just BOUGHT?

40-150mm lens for my EPL1. It was touch & go whether I bought that lens or the 17mm this month, but the price was too good to pass up.

I also managed not to buy quite a lot of stuff today. The local Hospice charity shop had brought out their cameras and put them in the window. Last time I was in there, I picked up a Canon EOS500 and an Agfa Silette, which were both fun, but I've now sold on.

Today, they had another Agfa Silette, a Canon EOS66 with it's box, but without the lens (I think that was what was attached to the EOS500 I had), an Olympus IS1000 that I couldn't close the flash on, a Weston Master III meter, an old flash unit, a Pentax SP500 with a couple of lenses, and a whole bucketful of compacts, with a Leningrad meter in amongst.

None of it was quite my bag. I was hoping the Agfa was going to be a Super Silette, but not so. I'm not sure how they managed to have two Agfas the same. Perhaps the same owner had a colour and a black and white body.

Problem is that I would have liked to take them all home, just for the novelty and the experience, but the main items had quite steep prices for what they were, so I walked away with a saigh.

Beautiful cam! First roll is loaded.

The camera gawds are with me again. Found a really nice Yashica YK with an old roll of Kodachrome II in it at the SA store for 9.99. Popped out the film after rewinding it into the cassette and checked the shutter operation and the lens. Looks like a winner. Test roll in progress then if it really checks out it gets a seal kit.

Looks like it is time to start selling some seldom used stuff to make room for the new stuff.

I grabbed a quick shot of the Yashica for the blog.

Chiyoko Super Rokkor 85mm F2.8

Chiyoko Super Rokkor 85mm F2.8

This is a wonderful lens, I am having a hard time between using this Rokkor or the Tele-Elmarit-M 90/2.8. Yes, the Rokkor is that good. I will post photos later.

I just bought a black Minolta XE-7 with Rokkor 58mm f/1.4 plus Haminex 135/28 and Sakar 60-200 f/4-5.6 zoom for only $20 from a second-hand market in Bruce, Canberra. I am now shooting the test roll, and everything seems to be working OK!

Traded my Zuiko 31/3.5 for a Voigtlander 15/4.5 for my CL, and picked up a 50/1.2 for my Canon - getting rid of the 24-105 soon I hope. Expensive week...

After much hand-wringing and internet searching, comparing, contrasting, backing off, moving forward, then moving back again, I finally pulled the trigger on an Epson 3880 printer. Hope I made the right decision!

A "BGN" SunPak 622 with the C cell battery clip & bracket & zoom head to replace the one that went up in smoke last friday. I'm not kidding...I'd been using it hard and turned it off and switched it back on after a few minutes and smoke came pouring out of the flash and the TR-II powerpak. Thankfully KEH had several in stock. Anybody got a TR-II pack that takes C-cells they wanna sell ?
