enough eBay-bashing!
I just wanted to report a wonderful eBay experience!
I bought an Olympus XA from a seller in the UK (secameras_2011, a professional camera store) and when the camera arrived it was in perfect optical condition!
Unfortunately, the rangefinder was off quite a bit, both horizontally and vertically, and the meter was overexposing by 2 stops!
I contacted them and to my amazement, they suggested they send me another one and I can keep the faulty XA. Just a bit of cleaning to do. Even the lightseals are already done!
The replacemewnt has arrived today, and it is just perfect, spot on! Just a bit of
cleaning to do, but even the seals are already done.
Sorry for the crappy iPhone pic, done quickly.
I'm a very happy eBay user now!

Rolleiflex Automat K4A with Rolleimeter.
PF
It arrived yesterday, with the Rolleimeter still attached! Somehow that survived the trip, though it's not all there (no case, and missing the focus distance ring). Also missing is the lens for the viewfinder magnifier, and one of the base feet.
Cleaned out the mirror box and viewing lens, so now I can see through it. Shutter has oil, but is running okay on higher speeds. Taking lens could use a cleaning. Winder is okay (haven't film tested it yet), and the shutter release is sticky on the return, but pops back out on winding.
Rain for the day here, so I won't be film testing it for another day or two. It's just so nice to have another one after the disaster with my first Automat.

Just got this, figuring I'd try film again after many years of digital only. Seems like one of the lowest cost options, yet still nice hardware, for this little experiment.

My M5s need red dots!
One Ultron 28mm f2 lens from a nice vendor in Amazon. The lens comes, supposedly, with the original hood, but just because (and the price was $0.47), I added a 49mm vented hood as a spare.

So it turns out they are the 24mm ones.... No good for my 35s.:bang:
But then I got a nice deal on a minolta flash meter IV to make up for it.

Couple of bi-convex lenses from Surplus Shed.
One can hopefully serve as a replacement for a missing element in an old Petzval-style projector lens.

On a whim after being interested for years, I bought a R8, R4 and a R 50mm Cron. It will be interesting to shoot them next to my M cameras.
