What have you just BOUGHT?

The book "HOW TO RUN A LATHE, the Care and Operation of a Back Geared Screw Cutting Precision Lathe" 32nd Edition copyright 1932 by South Bend Lathe Company, 25c postpaid.

I had a copy many years ago but somehow it is long gone.

26 rolls of Fuji Superia 200 36 exp for $20.

Dood on craigslist who had it in his fridge, and went digital (baah, witchcraft!)

Rollei 40mm F2.8 HFT LTM
Voigtlander 28mm F3.5 Color Skopar LTM

Pentax 645 & 75mm f2.8 SMC-A lens, NOS with all boxes, docs, etc. Found it on eBay from a Japanese seller for $495 USD, shipping included (showed up in about 5 days). It's almost flawless, so I'm pretty stoked to get out and put it through its paces.

I first saw the Pentax S1A and SV in 1966 in my Wallace Heaton Blue Book.
Today a very kind Pentax enthusiast in the UK has given me this one, and it was worth the wait. I can now see why everybody was so enthusiastic about them back then.
The build quality is absolutely beautiful, absolutely as good as any Leica.

I am a 100% film shooter and decided to go for the Monochrom now the CCD version is discontinued. It was a difficult decision for me. Anyway I got to the shop and Monochroms were sold out!?! So I walked out with a brand new 21mm Summilux. I guess I can survive a few more years with Tri-x. The camera and the lens cost about the same and somehow I feel pretty good about it.

A 17-55mm 2.8 zoom lens for my DSLR.
It feels kind of strange because I rarely use this camera. Plus I settled on fast medium focal length primes and haven't owned a zoom for a couple of years.
But given the current prices for APSC DSLRs, selling the camera would have made it by far the most expensive piece of gear i ever owned. So i thought: use it as it was meant to be, Its a huge camera/lens combo, but i think i'm gonna have fun!
🙂
Greetings, Klaus

A 1951 IIIf with Summitar, lenscap and case. I took a chance on it. The camera has not been used in ages, the shutter curtains look wrinkled altho the shutter works, sort of, at the higher speeds. The lens was my concern. It looked very dirty, possibly with fungus and I knew how soft the coatings were. I got brave and carefully cleaned the lens. What came off the back element was brown, from camera lubricant? Anyway, the lens cleaned up very nicely and it all looks like new. I hope to use it on my IIIc soon to see what it does. Joe

A Canon P. For some reason I keep gravitating back to this camera. This will be my third one and although I like the Canon P, I really haven't been very successful with it. One more try.
