What have you just BOUGHT?

Panasonic GX8. I've used a GH3 for a long time for M4/3, but the GX8 has IBIS, really nice for the old manual glass. So far, it is great. And the 4K video is killer.

Leica MDa, Visoflex, and 3,5/65mm Elmar.
Fomapan 100 and 200 to compliment the whole low-contrast lens thing.
Ex+ condition or better.

I have just - i.e. a couple of minutes ago - bought a classic Nikkor Kogaku Q-Nikkor 3.5/135.

Excited to see the condition when it arrives. Was worth the risk due to the nice price-tag. 😉

Scootle pootle. Been wanting an M3 for years as 50mm is my preferred focal length. Been doing with an M2 and an M6 for the last 8 - 10 yrs. Bought an M3 today with 30 rolls of film thrown in. Ilford FP4, HP5 - some Ektar, and just expired Fuji Pro 400H. Loaded with HP5 and off trekking tomorrow.

^ nice! Enjoy the new camera! I just bought some film cassettes and a bulk loader. Also waiting on a package that was purportedly shipped from Lithuania on the 19th of October. Fingers crossed it arrives this week.

Minolta Weathermatic Dual 35

Minolta Weathermatic Dual 35

This thing just glowed from the shadows, and as I looked it over, it grew on me. Then when I saw it was 50% off because of the color of its price tag, I figured "Why not."

It came with a good battery and a roll of film still in it. I shot the rest of the roll and dropped it off for development, but I won't be able to see until tomorrow if it still works or not.

A Jupiter 12 on eBay for $70. Once that gets here I guess I'll put a roll through my never CLA'd IIIg and see how it does. The speeds *sound* close lol.

The problem with shooting an older camera "as is" even if it's working properly, is that the lubricants do break down, and every flick of the winding lever moves the parts through what is now an abrasive solid rather than a slippery liquid.

Or it would be, if IIIs had winding levers. But you get the point.

Good thing a CLA is only around $200. I'll probably send it to Youxin near the end of the month when I have some extra $$$ laying around. I wasn't planning on shooting it like that long term, just meant that I wanna see how it looks till I can afford to send it off.

Picked up a Yashica J-P slr with a Yashinon 5cm f2 lens. All in working condition surprisingly but it is missing the timer lever on the front. My first m42 mount camera for a few bucks.
