What have you just BOUGHT?

Veritas Honing guide Mk 2 and various sharpening stones . I can finally grind my chisels and plane blades with precision.

I suppose a garden shed 8x12 feet can be added to list of new. The garage can now be used ONLY for cars and associated maintenance equipment. It is the best built shed I ever saw. Same specs as a house.

Last summer was a Nikon F2 with plain prism just to get the prism. GAS is gone pretty much. I already have enough camera gear for a life time.

I will look for more woodworking tools like auger bits, hand drills, marking gauges.
My goal is to graduate from electric tools to hand tools. Anybody can build with electricity.

...Sold most of my lenses and my Monochrom and bought a pretty nice Pentax K-1 kit actually, which I'm quite pleased with though I'm still figuring out the lenses I want to use for that thing....
Congrats on the K-1! I've had mine for almost a year, like it a lot. A bit larger and heavier than the Pentax APS-C size dSLRs but OTOH quite compact for a full-frame one (vs. other brands). Lenses are a matter of taste, but I recently refreshed my dislike of zooms! Try the full-frame Limited series: 31, 43, 77, all great... Have fun!

There's a 28 Summicron coming my way from PopFlash... 🙂

I went to the Pasadena Camera Swap meet today...I took four cameras to sell/trade if I found what I was looking for...came home with all four...
I ended up only finding two items...
A Nikon 5cm 1:2 F lens hood and Nikon BR-2 (Lens Reversing Ring)
Keeping the BR-2, I'll sell the lens hood...
The BR-2 works on the D3x, F5 & F4s with plenty of clearance at the contacts...

A mint Contax IIIA with Sonnar F1.5 ......very inexpensive. Owner the camera extremely well maintained. The Lens is a Prewar Sonnar, non coated, no cleaning marks. really sweet!

Not a fresh buy but activating one. Some years back I bought an f4.5 300mm Nikkor to shoot surfers. After I bought it, I discovered that the iris was stuck wide open. Had it lying around until last month when I took it to Sunflower Camera Repair, a one-man Toronto shop run by a man called Bau. In business since the late 80s, he will repair just about anything optical or camera wise. He overhauled it for 150 CDN. The lens is a bit of a monster as far as size goes but I plan to shoot sports with it, mounted on my Nikon D300.

I bought the 50mm f1.5 Sonnar about a month ago on a dead IIIA color dial. I ordered the adapter from Amedeo to fit the Fuji camera and it arrived today. The workmanship is great on the adapter and the focus is really smooth. I just need a good day to got shoot some pictures.

Nice, I am waiting for a Contax adapter for my Fuji for a 50mm f1.5 Sonnar too. Should have it in a day or two.
