What have you just BOUGHT?

Thanks Emile. The older Rolleiflexes are much better built/made but this one is a looker and a better shooter (better screen, built in semi spot meter).

Wow. Gold trimmed max level armor! Sorry for that geeky note, but it reminds me of a videogame which had that kind of status armor.

The 2.8FX/GX or so may be not too far fetched in price and features vs the F's, which have become quite appreciated.

My last buy was in April, a Rolleicord V which jammed after a roll, last week. I might or might not open it up, or opt instead for a CLA and maybe a new screen.

Last week I bought new headphones, long overdue, AKG K612. A bit offensive to listen lots of music and still go with some cheapish Sennheisers.
Photography wise, I am quite sorted. Last thing was a pack of Portra 400 120 and I will need some Ektar or P160 soon.

I've just bought a boxed Agfa Lucimeter S with plastic hard case and incident thingy. It looks to be in very good condition, far better than most listings of these.

If they didn't sell as many as they would have liked, I can see why.

The little brown 'never-ready' case (which I bought separately) is a little too tight to get the meter out or put it back without at least once saying "Come on, get out!" or '"Go back in, will you?", the incident thingy is difficult to fit on, and the needle seems a bit over-sensitive to movement of the hand: if you tilt your hand by a hundredth of a millimetre in any direction, the needle goes off the point it was on, so you can't tell if the light's changed or if you've tilted your hand a micro-tidge. Other meters aren't like this.

I also bought an 'Acron' light meter and case. It's made in Japan by 'Kuwano Electrical Instrument Co. Ltd.'

It has 'Polaroid numbers' as well as Exposure Value numbers, has the modern range of shutter speeds but is also marked with the old range up to 1/200, and yet the film speeds go from 6 up to 6400.

This seems a little odd to me. Why would a meter have film speeds that go up to 6400 and yet also include the old shutter speed range?

Is this just trying to appeal to a wide market?

Anyone got any ideas about when these were made?

EDIT= Added two pics.

Exa Version 3 (I think). Says System Exa, Rheinmetall Sommerda. Finally figured out where the shutter release was (in the front). Cute little camera, and lens. And love the waist-level finder, although a little dark, even at the f/2.8 max aperture for the lens. With a blazing top speed of 1/125, and bottoms out at 1/25. Loaded now with Fomapan 100 and will be trying it out next few days.

Haven't bought it yet, but really hoping to get a Fuji X100F soon. Can't seem to find anyplace that has them in stock! Must be a really popular item right now!

I picked up a No.3 Folding Pocket Kodak (model G) over the weekend.
....Together with something "Very" illuminating....

Yikes! That thing looks like it would break your wrist!

I've bought 2 Metrawatt Metrastar light meters. One was to replace the one I bought the other week which I broke, and the second (actually 3rd) one was just in case the first (actually 2nd) wasn't working.

A 90mm Fujinon Super Wide for my 5x7 cameras - it's wider that I thought, but since it draws very straight, it feels less wide than 19mm on the Canon 16-35 L.

I'm shooting a historic building being renovated. I am on the design team, and have worked in the building for decades. Since all I had for my new Leica was a 50mm, I bought a wide angle lens:
