What have you just BOUGHT?

Bit of a spree...

Bit of a spree...

Most recently, I've bought a Lieca IIIA with a Summar. Just before that, I bought a Kiev2 with a couple of lenses. And, last week I found the Nikkormat FT. And, I also got another Zorki 3m.
Foolish me. I thought in April that when I bought an Intrepid 4x5 camera, it would be the last camera I'd buy for a while. 🙄

I really like the cameras I have and was only looking to add the 4x5 but all the others just showed themselves to me and I couldn't resist. 🙂

Picked up a darkroom kit today.
Saunders 67 LPL enlarger with 50mm and 80mm Companon S lenses and neg carriers.

plus all the goodies, safe lights, easels, 11X14 print washer, trays , reels, developing tanks, trays, etc..

CZJ Prakticar 135/3.5 lens, an eBay bargain.

I'm pretty sure it's a Praktica bayonet mount.
If not it would have to be M42 screw mount.
Either way I have a camera body to use it.

Given how much of my stuff I've sold in the past several months I effectively started over but I don't mind too much.

Recently acquired:

28mm Elmarit ASPH
50mm Summarit f/2.4
Nikon FM3A
Nikon 45mm f/2.8P

Even with all these new things I still don't have a giant list of gear. In fact the reason for me selling so much was to fund my most important purchase.

An engagement ring 🙂

Now we're budgeting for the wedding haha!

Fuji x100F. Decided to consolidate my digital line-up to strictly Fuji, so selling along my M8 and lens, but the M3 a Type 2 Summilux will stay.

An M9 with new sensor. Reducing my kit to that and the Contax T3 (and Contax T + Leica X1 as backups).
The M9... really because of the excellent VM Ultron 21mm, which I like so much I want to give it its full 21mm, finally a digital replacement of the Contax G 21mm.
Also getting a Nokton 35mm f/1.2 II to test, looking forward to that!

I've been looking at underwater solutions forever it seems and never found anything I thought would be safe and convenient enough for my cameras. Yesterday I just said f*** it and ordered the new Olympus TG-5. Should keep me amused this summer! 🙂

Will be nice to have a camera the kids can play with too without me freaking out.

Went mad yesterday and bought my first Apple Mac. Not unboxed yet, need to backup files from the PC. Looking forward to seeing my shots on the 27inch screen.
Gonna have to sell some Fuji gear to offset the cost e.g. X100, EF-X20, 18/2, 35/2 etc.
Learning curve ahead!

I've been considering a nice 35mm film prime point & shoot and finally grabbed a clean Nikon L35AF2 / L35AD2 One Touch via ebay today. Looking forward to shooting a roll through this

What should I shoot? Portra 160, Superia 400 or HP5 400?

9x rolls of Fujicolor C200 film. Some say it is the same as the Superia 200 (non xtra), others say it reminds them of Reala (doubt it). Guess we will find out.

Just found a 180mm f/9 Carl Zeiss Jena Apo-Tessar for almost no money. I jumped in knowing nothing about this lens and can't find much info on the web. Can't wait to hang it on the front of my 4x5.

I bought an Ansco Super Regent:

You wouldn't think she was about 60 years old. She is a a rather convetional girl as she has the traditional almost solid grease in the focusing ring, but if I was a boy camera, I'm sure I'd think "Phwooarr, look at the 'finders on that!"

EDIT: The ruddy 'film reminder' thingy on the rewind dial won't turn, so I can't change the film speed or film type which means it's stuck on '160 ASA', which I think is for B+W film of 160 asa. So I've decided to use this one just for mono film and my super solinette for colour as its 'film reminder' thingy can be changed (not without a stubborn struggle) and it's set to 'Colour ND'. I know that seems a bit daft, but while I want to use them, I don't want to risk over-using them and so limiting the film type I use with each one will lessen the amount I use them and thus lessen the chance of over-working these old codgers.

My first AI-S in 35 years, the 800/8. (Insert panting emoji here). With 9 elements, this Nikkor should handily outperform the Leica Telyt-S and its triplet. 🙂 Handily might be the wrong word for lenses of half a meter or longer and, no, I don't plan to mount it onto my Barnack!
