What have you just BOUGHT?

The Holga WPC (Wide Pinhole Camera) that I have been watching for about two years at the local camera store finally went into the bargain bin, so I snagged it.

A very nice Olympus 35SP; a Walmart nylon lunch bag to carry it in (superb camera bags for a fraction of the price of the photo models, BTW); a slew of 49mm filters (#8, 11, 21, 25, 81A, and a polarizer) & rubber lens hood; couple stainless steel developing reels. Usual rig has been a Zeiss Ercona I, but wanted to go 35mm to better render candids of my kids, or general snapshotting.

I just have to share this ;-)

and I got it and a Minolta digital P&S for a pound, so not bad. Now to find some bottles the tripod will fit and empty them...

Regards, David

you could half empty the bottle attach the camera and do the bottle flip challenge🙂

Got a Konica WaiWai for $5 :]
A disposable camera with a 17mm lens. It's pretty easy to re-load too.

I'm debating on wether or not to make a lens in cap for my Bessa-R or leave it as-is...or sell it again and use the money to buy better glass. haha

The sale of the aforementioned Bell & Howell 70DR got canceled due to "loss of the camera." which I think is a dubious excuse, considering they may have just made a mistake in listing.
So, the search is on for another.
As for other things I've bought; I'm continuing the search for C-mount lenses. It turns out it is far cheaper to buy a cheap camera with the lens you want attached than to buy just the lens. I paid about 10% for a Cine-Kodak Royal Magazine camera with two 25mm f/1.9 lenses than what I would have paid for just the two lenses alone. And one is a pristine Cine-Ektar, the other is a late production Anastigmat. If I figure out both where to find double-perf 16mm film and how to reload the magazines, I'll have a 16mm camera that is almost pocketable. I'm hell-bent on figuring out how to modify these magazines for widely available single-perf film. Then I'll be able to shoot handheld, at night out on the streets using Kodak Vision III 500T. A film emulsion no one dreamed of 60+ years ago when this camera rolled out of Rochester.
I also picked up a pristine 15mm f/2.5 Cine-Ektar in M-mount. That saved me about $100 from what I paid simply due to researching the adapters available from Kodak which they used on their incredible motion picture system.
It would be nice to find a 3" or even 4" Cine-Ektar to round out the kit.
Eventually, all this will go on a Bell & Howell 70DR or perhaps Beaulieu or Bolex if I can afford it. I really just want the working B&H.
Oh yeah, I also got Bethanne an Elmo C-300 Tri-Filmatic Super 8 camera. That thing is going to be a lot of fun too.

Picked up a Canon VT that has some corrosion, but otherwise seems to be in working order. More interestingly, it came with a beauty of a Nikkor 50mm f/2 H C from the 50s which is in great shape (filter probably on it since day one). Additionally, an Arco 135mm f/3.8 and Tower finder were in the bag, along with two meters and a non-Nikon hood for the Nikkor.

I've dreamt of a Leica and 50mm Summicron. This isn't it exactly, but it's close enough for me, and is about 10% of the price!

Very happy to join the forum!

Just signed up for a Rollei 6008i. Old. Electronics. Zeiss glass! We'll see how she runs. Also stepped up to a Jobo CPE2+ (used/reconditioned) from CatLabs... so I can begin to think more constructively about color film.

Just sold my Fuji kit to buy a Leica 50 ‘Lux ASPH... only digital camera is now my phone and Ricoh GR..

I just bought a CLE and a first-gen Rokkor 40mm. Putting together funds for a clean 28 rokkor and a 90 rokkor.

I'm excited, but worried that I'm going to end up selling my Fuji kit, too! Although, if it nets me some Leica glass, I suppose that's not the worst.

Hard to imagine selling a camera I love so much, though.
