What have you just BOUGHT?

My last purchase after a long time was March 2020... until I saw Dez's Nikon S3 for sale for a killer price in the classifieds. Talk about a slippery slope. I just clicked the "Purchase" button on this beauty after getting a nice discounted offer from the seller (who, BTW, has a 100% positive feedback): a Nikon SP with a 50mm f1.4 lens.

Edit: BTW, the photo belongs to the seller, leitzusa from the auction site.

that's a nice SP. I recently received mine returned from DAG

Just received a custom made universal neg carrier for my Nikon 9000 thanks to Stephan Scharf in Germany. Cannot praise the design, build quality and functionality of this holder enough. Easy to use and finally, flat negs with the choice of glass or glassless. Neg Carrier Video

I realized that Superia X-tra 400 is getting more expensive (at least here in Europe), there is some conflicting information wheather it is discontinued. So, I decided to stock a bit - bought 50 rolls locally at 5.7€ per roll which is still cheaper than German internet shops charge.

A Kodak Brownie No.1, model B, made c.1908-1915, quite similar to the original Brownie of 1900, and using the long gone format 117. But it's easy to respool 120 format film in them, ad it's so simple that it almost is impossible that it does not work. The pictures are impressive, considering it is literaly a cardboard box with the simplest of lenses & shutter.

It does work with 120 film:

Last week I bought a used copy of Roger Hicks' Medium Format Handbook.

It arrived in the mail on Wednesday, two days later than it should have and on the day Roger's wife Frances died. There is a lovely acknowledgement to her on Page 7 of the book which dates back to 1986.

I saw this on a facebook page being given for free locally. "Old camera, i have no use for it" the listing said. I suspect i know what it is 🙂

I asked my wife to collect it and put it under the Xmas tree for me.
Santa has been sorted this year it seems.....

Couldn't hardly get a finer and most beautifully made camera & lens in history, Mike, congratulations. Well, at least I have a M3... but only with an Elmar f2.8. ...

Owner's manual for Yashica 35 GS: I guess this particular cover art was distributed in Europe and Japan, but it took me a couple of years to track down an example of it in the US of A.

Picked up this beauty (The summicron) on black Friday. To my shock, even used camera stores have some pretty sweet deals on black Friday. Clean and clear glass, matching numbers. Really looking forward to using it!
