Fujifilm VFX-21, brand new 21/28mm brightframe finder. It was made for the suddenly-discontinued X70, they must have made too many? Marked down to 1/3 price or less at most retailers. Looks nice to have a Fuji X system part on my Leica, rather than the other way 'round.

Just bought a used Sinar Pan head and
a used Gitzo metal tripod. The 8x10
Eastman 2-D and the 4x5 Sinar P are
a bit much for my Tiltall!
What a great pan had is the Sinar!
But the old Gitzo Studex Performance
already has two stuck bindings. Time
to get the heavy channel locks from
the public library.

I sent a Nikkor-Q Auto 135mm 3.5 and Nikkor-Q Auto 135mm 2.8 to John White for "Ai Conversions"...gonna finally get to use them on my newer Nikon bodies...
I've given up on finding factory aperture rings to convert them...

A 1929 Leica I(A), serial 14XXX. Works quite well, but can't rewind, as there's a part missing. Somebody had taken it, guess how many years ago. Once film is ended, one has to take it whole in the dark and rewind by hand.
I bought the FODIS apart.

A 35mm lens for my Nikon S3...
And that's the second. Last week it was a 10.5cm f2.5 lens.

I bought a Nikkor 50mm 2.0 Ai lens that so happened to be attached to a Nikkormat FT3 body, all for under $85USD...
I've recently been looking for this lens and was holding out for the Ai version so I can use it on the D3x & F5 full frame bodies...
I had a 50mm 2.0 a few years ago but gave it away mounted on a Nikon N2020...both of these were given to me at some point so I wasn't out anything other than the experience of shooting with the 2.0

A Yashica IC Lynx 14 E, with the magnificent clean 45mm f/1.4 Yashinon, all for $4.00 US at a nearby antiques mall. The shutter was sticky (now cleaned) and one of the aperture blades sticks between f/2 and f/1.4 (making it an f/1.52 lens?). Oh, and B doesn't work. And the little "Lynx 14 E" sticker under the rangefinder window is missing. Other than that it's a great user--if I don't get tired carrying that 2 lb. around.

Picked up this Kiev-4 for 25 pounds, it looks very nice. The seller said he believed it didn't work, it had been used as a prop. But the shutter speeds seems OK, the RF patch is clearly visible and it seems to focus correctly. The Jupiter-8M looks perfect without any scratches. Even the light meter seems to work, but might be a bit off. Just waiting for a take-up spool I've ordered, as it was missing.

A Tamron 80-210-mm 103A manual and a Tokina 35-135mm smz335 manual, as I like to collect manuals and adverts/brochures for the camera stuff I have.
Learned that ALL of the apertures change with focal length of the smz335, so 135mm f22 becomes f28, and that you're supposed to compensate for this when using a hand held meter and THAT'S what the puzzling little orange line next to the central white line is for!
Also, you're suposed to move the fstop to half-way between those lines when the focal length is somewhere near the middle of the range.
Why the ruddy-blime had this change in all apertures never occurred to me before?

Edit: Nearly forgot that I bought a boxed Nikon AS15 hotshoe/pc cord adapter. The instructions say that I should use a speed slower than the camera's sync speed when using it, but doesn't explain why.

I had an attack of G.A.S. (well, when do I not have an attack of G..A.S.) and fell in love with a Zeiss Makro Planar 50mm f2 lens. The longer version is that a camera store in my city had several Zeiss lenses traded in and I began to consider buying the Zeiss Planar 100mm f2 which was part of that haul. A beautiful lens. But while considering it overnight (and working out what to sell to pay for it) someone else snapped up all the lenses. But I did notice that they in any event had the Makro Planar 50mm in a cabinet too, from another trade in. Having made the commitment to go down the Zeiss path, I was not in the mood to be forestalled....................! The only slight glitch is that I plan to use it on a Sony full frame and this lens was in a Canon FE mount and does not have an aperture ring. So I also needed a Canon to Sony electronic adapter. Fortunately they also had a Sigma one in store (an MC-11) and could help in that department too. Still this now opens up the possibility of me getting some Canon glass in the future and using that too on a Sony.
This lens is a stunningly built and beautiful looking lens in keeping with the Carl Zeiss reputation. It is also much bigger than I thought it to be based on mere photos and has a 67mm filter ring. The picture below of one mounted on a Nikon D200 gives some idea of its size and heft. Though I seldom take macro photos I do appreciate this breed of lens because they invariably are sharp as all get out and more often than not have pretty nice out of focus characteristics too. This is no exception and so far it lives up to the Zeiss reputation for crispness and color rendition. Being an F2 it is comparatively fast for this class of lens and will work nicely as a standard 50mm.

I picked up a mint Nikon 5.8cm 1.4 for my F. Never heard of this lens until I stumbled upon it, it seems like it has an interesting history.
I also snagged an early Nikon 28 f/2 that had been ai-d, also mint. These will be my go-to's this weekend. I'm looking forward to the results.

Very common occurrence with these. I’ve glued mine on.

Just ordered a used Sigma 17-50mm f2.8 for K-mount from B&H. It'll be a big lens, such as I haven't used in a long while. But looking forward to it!
