What have you just BOUGHT?

As I posted elsewhere in the forum, a Leica R8 (coming from a seller in NY) and a Vario-Elmar 28-70 f3.5-4.5. Ever since I got my eyesight renewed thanks to a cataracts surgery I've had a bad time dealing with GAS...

I have, in use, a radioactive 50mm Summicron, and very nice too, also a Canon 50mm. f1.8 l.t.m. The Canon lens has an internal smear and a spot of balsam crystallisation. On a whimsy I put in, what I thought was a low offer and it won; I received, to-day a gorgeous red scale Elmar. Why do I not feel, even slightly, exited?

A Beier Beirette for my children, to introduce them to film, among all this digital...

and a c.1953 KMZ Zorki-1 for me, in working condition, but it will need some disassembly to put film in it (looks like the pressure plate it's in the way of the film).

This nice Nikkor 50mm 2.0 lens attached to a Nikkormat FT3 showed up the other day...cleaned up the body, replaced the mirror foam and light seals..lens just needed a light cleaning...
Took it out today and shot a roll of Plus-X...

I've been wanting to see what this lens does...I blame you guys for that...!!!

I've had the Nikon F at least ten years...

I bought Kindle edition of this also when it was mentioned in another thread. Been reading now, they are arriving Soviet Ukraine from Moscow. Capa's photos so far have been sort of tourist snaps, perhaps because they are published elsewhere and this book focuses on Steinbecks story.

good book.
